Hi Eric!
Thanks for taking a moment to check out our project. This page will give you a brief rundown of some details which you can use to gauge your interest. We'd love to bring you in for the role of CHARLES STONE, a retired spy who has left his fighting days behind him but who can't let go of a rivalry with his longtime foe.
The script should read a bit like a parody, intentionally over-the-top and at times a bit cartoonish. I think the more dead-serious we take it, though, the funnier it will be.
You can view the script by clicking on the button below, then check out some of the info on this page to learn a bit more about me and the project.
ABOUT THE MOVIE
WE MEET AGAIN is a proof of concept film designed in partnership with LA Castle Studios, a virtual production stage in Burbank. The stage is a specially-built green cyc with a camera and computer system that seamlessly generates a virtual environment in real time, enabling us to shoot in multiple 'locations' at the press of a button.
Here's a look at some of the virtual environments we'll be using in this film:
The short is a bit like a sketch film, designed to showcase some of the incredible production flexibility afforded in this modern approach to filmmaking, while telling a fun, self-contained story – and that's where you come in.
The entire narrative is held together by the frame story in a Victorian mansion, led by you as the James Bond-esque character, and your longtime foe. The rest of the film will feature fully choreographed fight scenes, energetic flashbacks to the heydays of these two eternal enemies!
But don't worry, we won't ask you to do any stunts! We've partnered with a fight team out of Atlanta to cook up some great choreography. It's a team I've worked with before whose results are always top notch, and I expect they'll turn in some really exciting work for this one.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I got my start in the camera department before pivoting to directing and attaching to a production company in 2015. Since the pandemic, I've also worked in post for major studios like Disney. Along the way I've always made time to write and produce my own work, and to help get my friends' projects off the ground when I can. I'm fortunate to have had some great successes in the festival circuit and at screenplay competitions, and my focus is always on making good work and having fun along the way.
Outside of my work on major properties, documentaries, spots, and industrials, I've produced a handful of my own shorts and my first indie feature was released in 2021. Here are some trailers for a few of my projects:
THE OFFER
If you're interested in the material, I'd like to loop you and/or your team in with our producers to make sure we're able to take care of you. We're a small, independent team, but we want to make sure you get what you need!
The commitment will be one day of shooting on a sound stage in Burbank. You'll have your own private holding space there, and we'll be happy to make any accommodations within our power.
IN CLOSING
I've heard so many wonderful things about working with you, specifically from an acquaintance I made a few years ago, Jillie Simon, whose film HUNGRY you had a role in. I am, of course, a big admirer of your work from Runaway Train all the way to your recent, truly excellent run on Righteous Gemstones.
I think this would be a fun role that would be a joy to work on together. If you're interested, I hope you'll feel free to respond to my email directly or to give me a ring at (917) 318-4633.
Thanks again for your time!
